Farmboy fans --
Happy New Year from the Hatzenbuhler farm -- and don't come visiting, because we all have that flu bug. It started Christmas Eve -- Beulah got it first, and then Emma, and now it's my turn. We've all been achey and sore, and coughing a lot. The last time I felt this way was during calving, but that wasn't because I had the flu. Calving always gets a guy feeling that way.
It's a quiet month on the rock star tour circuit, which is probably just as well, what with this cold weather. Lieber Zeit, she was cold outside! I think Congress must have passed a law making NorDakota part of Alaska. What with all the oil we're making now, that was probably an easy mistake to make.
I think I'm feeling a little better from this flu thing. Beulah is okay by now, and Emma is still feeling a little weak from it. She had to put rubber cement on the fingers of her chore gloves because she didn't have enough strength in her fingers to gather eggs. I finally went to the doctor about this flu virus. He put me up on the hoist to give me the once-over, took some blood -- never gave it back, either -- and told me to come back the next day. That second day he looked me over again, and listened to my insides. He said "Your cough sounds better today." I said "It should; I practiced all night."
Stay warm, fans.
